Dance Parties

A couple of weeks ago when it rained for a week straight, we moved all the furniture to the edge of the living room to make space for our home school group to meet in our house. The extra room was so nice for 3 stuck in side kids, that we left it that way all week.

It turns out our living room is a great place for dance parties.
We had them every day.
The boys liked to dance with their weapons in hand. Sort of tribal dancing, don't you think?
Lilly liked to wear hats.

Different songs require different moves.
Here they are dancing to "Surfin Safari" by the Beach Boys.
What? Don't all surfers wear their light sabers out in the water?

Here they are doing a robot dance to "Domo Arigato, Mr. Roboto."
It is very serious.

Even Lilly has some moves of her own.

When Major Tom comes on, a costume change is required,
Space helmet? Check.

Dance parties.
They are loud. They are crazy. They are wild.
They are kind of annoying at 8:30 in the morning.

But they are fun.
Even, as I am finding out, when it's not raining.
