Sweet Baby Hands and Sweet Baby Feet

I am obsessed with my baby's feet.  Her tiny, little toes with the fat pads on the bottom of each one; so kissable.

Lilly actually has the smallest feet of all my kids.  The boys feet are so wide and fat.  Aaron calls them surfer feet.  Lilly's feet are long and slender.  I don't have many pictures of the boys' baby feet.  My camera was not equipped with the kind of lens needed to get those close up shots.  So let's just say I am making up for lost time.  I have taken countless pictures of Lilly's feet, but I can't stop.  Yesterday she was lounging in her diaper, kicking her feet up in the air and the light was just right, so I had to take some shots.  It is getting hard to take these photos now, though.  She moves them around so much I can't focus.  In the end, I did manage to get a few.

Another thing I love is fingers and hands.  Especially a big brother hand holding a little sister hand.  Look how sweet they are.  They just look delicious and adorable.  It's the chubbiness; beautiful on a baby, not so much on me.  Oh well.

William wanted to get in on the action, so I snapped a few of he and Lilly together.  Prior to this picture, he tried picking her up, poked his finger in her belly button to see how deep it was, and then laid on top of her.  That is how he"protects" her.  "Your job is to protect your sister, William."  My words in his mouth, but his interpretation is slightly different than mine.  He does love her, he's just very passionate about it.

With every child, I remember how wonderful it felt when I saw their feet and hands on the ultrasound.  Their feet kicking in the air , or amniotic fluid I guess, were already delightful.  And also their hands: curled into a fist, waving, or with fingers spread wide.  When my sister and I saw her first born, Simon, stick his thumb in his mouth during his ultrasound, we both burst into tears.  There is just something about those little hands and feet, even in the womb, they are just perfect.

Kristen, at first I thought you meant my 5th grade conference, but then I realized you meant my ultrasound. That is what you meant right? You were holding Jackson and Dad was at our house watching Simon who is now in 5th grade. Wow, it doesn't seem that long ago.
