This Home Schooling Life: Valentines Day Pary 2012

This is the 4th year I've hosted a Valentines party.
The kids and I love it and look forward to it all year.
It is now a tradition for our group.
Everyone puts it on the calender for the year without even asking--it's a given.
I like that.
I'm one of those girls who loves tradition.
The party just gets better every year.
This year the Valentines passed out were off the hook!  (does anyone say that any more?  i like to throw in old slang now and then to spice things up.  holla!)
And, of course, I loved having a photo booth this year.
Come take a peek at all the fun.

Everyone brings something to share.
There were lots and lots and lots of treats.
These girls had the right idea--they just took a seat at the treat table.

My house isn't quite big enough for 20 + kids to run around in.
But we have a great backyard for them to play in.
The boys loved the tree.

The girls loved the playhouse.

But the best part of the day is the valentine exchange.
The kids lined up, waiting for the exchange to commence.

Everyone brought their own box or bag for collecting their valentines.

And there were so many different valentines passed out.

2 families passed out their valentines at a time.
The rest of the kids sat and enjoyed opening up each card as they got it.

Didn't you just love getting valentines when you were little?
I did.
A lot.
That's the reason I have this party.
I want to share that fun with my kiddos.
I'm pretty sure they're loving it just as much as I did.

Miss Avery passed out these candy conversation hearts.

James and his buddy, Asher, had quite a few giggles reading the messages on the hearts.
Look at how cute they are.

"Look at this one..."

"It says, First..."

"KISS!"   Collapsing in laughter.

After the valentine exchange, I got the photo booth going.
I took lots of pictures.
Here are just a few. (i took a lot)

American Gothic.

Ron Swanson.

Cutest Valentines dress ever.

The Little Miss.

And her cute Mama.  (don't you love her home made heart sweater?)

Miss Tammy of The Canvas Shop knows how rock a stash and a baby.

Pink cast and all.

Even the little ones got in on the action.

The gang.
Oh this baby!!

This was my favorite party yet!
But I suppose Valentines week is drawing to a close.
Good thing we are chock full of all these fun memories to last us until next year.
Happy heart!
Love from,
Greta

WOWWWWW!! Look at your cool garden! AMAZING x x

The photobooth looks really fun- I've organised a treasure hunt for my birthday (such a big kid) and been planning a photo area too. Love your backdrop idea x
